Llwynhelig House Railway Carriage - Delightful Cowbridge Railway Carriage with Hot Tub

Overall it was great stay for me and I really enjoyed my time relaxing Positive: The location was great, Cowbridge is beautiful and plenty to do and explore nearby if you are just wanting a chilled relaxing getaway and have a car, I stayed for 2 days and that was just enough for me. Anita was absolutely lovely and was happy to help with any questions and make the self check in super easy for me. Never actually got to meet in person but for me as someone who suffers with severe anxiety I found this helpful as it reduced stress and anxiety for me. I knew she was there if I needed but still had the isolation and privacy I needed for my mental health. The carriage is really sweet and I found the bed super comfortable and cozy, it’s pretty basic but that’s all you need if you are planning to be out all day. No cooker but air fryer, kettle and toaster, coffee machine and crockery all provided. Lovely clean towels provided. Access to the heated swimming pool was a lovely bonus although I never got to round to using it! The fan was also an extra bonus as it can get hot in the carriage at times but easy enough to cool down. Although fan can be noisy. Negative: The seating inside the carriage as it’s only 2 lounge chairs so I found myself spending alot of time in bed as I wasn’t able to get comfy or stretch on the chairs. The WiFi wasn’t great, in and out a-lot which was difficult for staying in contact with people as a lone traveler because the signal was also weak so not able to use my 4G a lot of the time. Slight issue with the freezer drawer/front dropping down so you’d have to hold it to close the fridge door but nothing serious and caused me no issues. Also the shower I found you had to turn it the “cold” way for hot water and the “hot” way for cold water but again nothing serious that put me out. , the little issues seemed almost irrelevant and didn’t bother me as everything else and the beautiful area made up for it and some. It was a great trip!!!

Anita was a great host, the dogs were a bonus. The cottage is so lovely, it’s like a fairy tale. Positive: The lodge was incredible, you have everything you need, even a frickin air fryer. Negative: Nothing
